5th International Conference on Open Repositories

A conference organized by the Spanish?Federation for Science and Technology in collaboration with UNED

This group of lectures, workshops and tutorials will cover all aspects of the world of open repositories.

The conference seeks to bring open repositories into the international market with the creation of open code software for the main platforms, Sprints, DSpace and Fedora.

Software today is changing the way academic communication takes place. Institutions such as universities, research laboratories, publishers and commercial organizations are creating innovative repository-based systems to organize the life cycle of information, from sustaining the creation and management of digital content, to enabling the use, re-use and interconnectivity of information, ultimately to ensure long-term preservation and archiving.
